Acer Launches Windows 8 Devices

On Tuesday, Acer invited a number of bloggers to preview their line up of Windows 8 devices at Food For Thought (8Q), ahead of the launch of Windows 8 officially on Friday!

The 27-inch Aspire 7600U has an ultra-slim 35 mm profile and a gorgeous Full HD edge-to-edge screen. The slender, asymmetric back-stand houses the power cord while the front surface, made of glass and transparent resin, creates a dramatic effect of a floating screen. For best viewing or touch experience the tilt angle can be set from 30° to 80° with just one hand thanks to the exclusive spring hinge material and design. The Aspire 7600U is also available with a swivel stand that tilts to an angle of zero degrees to enjoy multi-user touch with friends; it can also be swiveled to vertical viewing and used as a big e-book reader display.

Another product showcased is the Aspire S7 Ultrabooks™. They are available in two models, Aspire S7-391 (13.3”) and Aspire S7-191 (11.6”). The 13.3” one above features a Corning Gorilla 2 glass, besides the Aluminium unibody chassis that both variants have. The Aspire S7 series features the latest 3rd generation Intel® Core™ processors for full computing and digital creation capability. Besides that, this slim beauty packs itself with a high performance solid-state disk (SSD) drive of up to 256GB with RAID 0 capability for super-fast access to all your files. Delivering vibrant, cinema-style surround sound via professionally tuned Dolby® Home Theater® v4 speakers, take all rounded sound enjoyment to another level on the Aspire S7 series.

For those who love to take their work on the go, Acer offers the ICONIA W510 & W700. For the geeks, the W510 comes with an Intel® Atom Processor whereas the W700 has an Intel® Core™ i5 Processor.

The Aspire M5-481PTG is glazed with a high-definition touchscreen that supports up to 10-point touch. This means that users can be launching applications with just a touch of their finger on the screen with the new Windows 8 operating system. It also features the latest 3rd generation Intel^® Core^™ i5 processor for full computing and digital creation capability. The Aspire M5-481PTG is fused with generous storage of 500 GB HDD with embedded SSD[1] for ultra-fast access and ample media and data storage. Most notably, the Aspire M5-481TG Timeline Ultra is fused with the latest nVidia GeForce® GT640M LE with 1GB of GDDR5 dedicated graphics for top graphics performance.
