SAWADEE-KRAP! Here is my first getaway to the City of Angels. I didn’t do much planning, most of it is done by my auntie. So thanks to her, I had a great time there!

We planned this trip as a long overdue family trip. Originally planned for Penang but since my aunt suggested Bangkok, we went along.

It was such a beautiful city! A mix of the modern and the old buildings!

We took a flight from KLIA 2 (a huge maze!) via Air Asia to Don Mueang International Airport (DMK). Around 2 hours!
Lunch was at CentralWorld. We wanted to eat something that we "know" how to eat so we chance upon Din Tai Fung and wanted to have it. However, it was lunch hours and we had to wait for half an hour! Okay, so we head to KFC instead. First time paying 450 for a KFC meal but it is all in Baht (around S$17) for my family!

Okay, so lunch is settled. Now to the hotel! We had Grande Centre Point Ratchadamri for this stay. It is nearer Erawan which is also very near Siam Square.

The view is fantastic! (Get it?)

After a quick shower and washup, we head to Chocolate Ville for dinner! Originally, I thought that the Chocolate Ville is a place selling Chocolate. Haha! Actually, it is a mini-town with beautiful mini-houses.The mini-town was so picturesque that many slowed down their steps to take pictures.

Dinner served! My first Pineapple Fried Rice in Bangkok!

We went back after dinner and went for a short shopping session back at CentralWorld. Not knowing exactly where was our hotel, so we took the Tuk Tuk. It was a thrilling ride!

So that is day one! Watch out for more!
