On Friday 26th October 2012, Microsoft is making its newest operating system to its customers!
“With the launch of Windows 8, Microsoft is unveiling a reimagined Windows to the world,” said Helene Auriol, Managing Director, Microsoft Singapore. “Windows 8 delivers a no-compromise computing experience to individuals, families and businesses, where they no longer need to choose between the fun and convenience of a tablet and the power and productivity of a PC.”
See the different forms of Windows 8 PC? “Customers will be able to choose from a range of new models, including notebooks, tablets, all-in-ones, touch-enabled ultrabooks and convertibles, all built for Windows 8.” Over 50 new Windows 8 devices will be launched by a variety of manufacturers available islandwide, making it more than 1000 devices Windows 8 certified!
Windows 8, Microsoft’s latest offering for their flagship OS is set to be sold at retail outlets in two versions: Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro. Windows RT is also launched for ARM based tablets together with Windows 8.

Thinking of switching yet? Here are some options:

2. If you purchased an eligible Windows 7 PC between June 2, 2012, and January 31, 2013 in more than 140 countries, you may download Windows 8 Pro at an estimated retail price of S$17.99 with the Windows Upgrade Offer at www.windowsupgradeoffer.com.
If you want a brand new Windows 8 Pro (in a DVD), it can be bought at all leading IT retail stores for S$89.00.
