ASCENDAS LAUNCHES REGIONAL “FACES AND PLACES” FACEBOOK PHOTO CONTEST

A fresh take on the traditional photo contest has been launched on Facebook by Asia’s leading business space solutions provider Ascendas. Themed Faces and Places, the contest offers novice and professional photographers across the region an opportunity to showcase their talent in capturing the essence of any Ascendas building or business park located in nine countries where Ascendas has its operations: Singapore, China, India, the Philippines, Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan and Indonesia.

The contest can be accessed by fans of the official Ascendas Spacetobe page on Facebook (www.facebook.com/AscendasSpacetobe) and will run from 0001 hours on Thursday, 29 November 2012 to 2359 hours on Monday, 31 December 2012. Terms and conditions apply. Winners will be notified from Monday, 7 January 2013.

Hit ‘Like’ on the Ascendas Spacetobe fan page, each participant will be allowed to submit
only one photo in either of two categories:

Open category for amateur photographers:
The contest category is open to all Ascendas Spacetobe Facebook fans from Singapore, China,
India, the Philippines, Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan and Indonesia. Top 3 winners are
selected according to the most number of votes recorded during the contest period.
Semi-professional category:
The contest category is open to all Ascendas Spacetobe Facebook fans from Singapore, China,
India, the Philippines, Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan and Indonesia. Top 3 winners are
selected by a panel of judges based on creativity (80%), photographic quality (15%) and public
votes (5%).

The winner of each category will receive an iPad Mini (64GB) with WiFi and Cellular capabilities and
have their photographs published in Ascendas’ quarterly newsletter Ascent which is distributed to
more than 10,000 readers. Two runner-ups from each category will receive an iPod Shuffle.
