SHINE Youth Festival 2013

The SHINE Youth Festival 2013 is here with a bigger and better line-up that has doubled from 2012. This year, 40 SHINE partners are gearing up to deliver exciting programmes. The theme this year is #FreeYourYou which encourages youths to act on their passion and champion causes for the community. Into its ninth year, SHINE 2013 will held from 29th June 2013 to 27th July 2013.

At the Media Conference held at *SCAPE Warehouse last Thursday, the media are invited to preview performances by The Cajon Society, a sharing session with The Every Revolution, and Superfly Monkey Dragons.

A Panel Session with Muhamad Imaduddien, Chairperson, and Natalie Morris, Vice Chairperson of the SHINE 2013 Steering Committee speaks more about the up coming events and festival line up and their thoughts on the Pitch to SHINE and Pledge to SHINE.



With a total of 33 Pitch to SHINE projects during this youth month of July, an unprecedented number of youths will be enacting positive change in the community through these projects for worthy causes.

Pledge to SHINE is a social, youth-driven initiative that encourages youth to express their commitment to action and showcase their talents. One of the way to Pledge to SHINE is through a Facebook application that allows youths to share their pledges online at http://www.facebook.com/SHINEYouth.





The SHINE Youth Festival Opening kicks off on 29th June 2013 at *SCAPE and will be accompanied by signature events organised by its six strategic partners; Mascot Parade, Dreamcatches, O’School, Show Choir Academy, Singapore Street Festival and Singapore Management University; as well as events from the Pitch to SHINE winners.
