UE Roll Review

Ultimate Ears announced this awesome UE Roll back in August. Just got hold of this round little Bluetooth speaker that has 9 hours of battery life and a wireless range of 20 meters.

The packaging is one hold piece, unwrapping it feels like Christmas came early this year! The lovely round shaped UE Roll is in the middle.

The interface is really simple, on the front is the plus (+) and minus (-) volume control. Bold and minimal, you get to know right away what these controls do.

As for the back, there is a power button, and a LED that indicates the state of the device. The ports with the rubberized flap accepts a 3.5mm connector or a USB charging cable. 

The powerful speakers is packed into a round package. At 340grams, the UE Roll produces awesome 360-degree sound with strong deep bass. It is amazing how loud the UE Roll can go, good for party!

According to the specifications, the UE Roll is waterproof, shockproof and comes with an attachable marine-grade bungee cord. So technically you can bring it along when your surf, at the beach, or hook it to your bag while on the go. 

With the UE Roll app (available on App Store or Google Play), it is super easy to connect to the speaker, check the battery life, etc. It takes a while to turn on the speaker though but overall, the app is a must have companion with the UE Roll as it gives you a dashboard to interact with the UE Roll! UE Roll is support Bluetooth Smart® wireless audio profile (A2DP) or 3.5 mm audio input.

All in all, the UE Roll is an interesting gadget to have that is simple to use, yet deliver powerful sounds despite its size. The waterproof, shockproof capabilities and the long battery life and range just give people the assurance that it will be available when it is needed.
