The new Samsung Gear S3 Frontier (LTE) introduces LTE support on the smartwatch with its embedded SIM (eSIM), through new revolutionary technology from Gemalto.
Users can download their respective profiles with ease, thanks to the unprecedented flexibility of the smartwatch which connects to the cellular network, enabling them to stay connected wherever they go, such as making phone calls, receiving messages and accessing their apps, even without their mobile phones.
The Gear S3 frontier (LTE) will be available at a recommended retail price of $598 at local telecommunication operators Singtel and Starhub. From 14 January 2017 to 15 February 2017, Samsung will be holding a launch promotion for the Gear S3 frontier (LTE). Customers who purchase a Galaxy S7 or S7 edge during the launch promotion period will be able to enjoy $50 off their purchase of the Gear S3 frontier (LTE) and be entitled to receive a complimentary strap worth $68.
Users can now download the Samsung Gear S app for the Gear S2 and Gear S3, or the Samsung Gear Fit app for the Gear Fit2 on compatible iOS devices3 from the Apple App Store, and complete the pairing with their respective compatible Samsung wearable devices. With the new compatibility, iOS users will now be able to enjoy the various features and functions4 across the Gear family of devices, such as tracking their fitness by monitoring distance and route travelled, running pace, calories burned and heart rate.
